year 2004 , new strange posts on TIG , the discussion of all discussions

hey all
I love TakingITGlobal

and really i have been inspired by that site , and really TIG helped me soooooo much inmy activities

but lately i found a strange way of discussions , that always closed
and i found only one common thing between those discussions that have been closed

thay have some posts from TIG members , that i have on my list ( Haythem`s List ) ;)

i think that is the discussion of all discussions

since 12 jan 2004 , every day , many people whom hate the Islamic religion
joined TIG
and they do nothing , and only nothing but posting replies to any kind of discussion in a very bad and discriminating way to any muslim person in all overthe world

and they have the same way
( quote - argument - fake hadith - fake translation from Quran - quote - saying bad words related to other TIG members - write a link to a website , that made specially to attack Islam or to broadcast false information about the religion )

thats all they did
they didnt post any thing else
they didnt join any kind of organizations , or any kind of activities , events , interests , or any thing
just this way of posts , and thats all
as if they are taking money for making that .

they are very discrimintative group , and all the TIG members dislike their way

really they use wrong and false translation to the quran , and they post false hadith ( speaches of the prophit muhamed )
and also they give the others all the links ( as a source ) and this link is a site have been made by another group ( may be the same ) that hate islam and make false information about the religion in that kind of sites

for example , i can make a site and make a great difinition in it , as a source
and this site speaks about my self as the creator of the universe
i can say that , and this could be post to the discussion as a link to a source on the internet

and that dosnt mean it is TRUE

i dont like their post , but i made a test

i read many of their replies , and compare the quran parts with the real parts on the quran written in arabic ( in hand )
i found they used a strange way of translation , as they make any body review it and dont understand arabic , that it is true , but really it isent

and

i read the ahadith they said , i found it is tooooootaly faake , and nothing in reality as they said

and also they said strange amd unlogic things

for example
they said true muslims cant wear jeans ???????? who is the dumb that can accept that
( by the way , i have a few non jeans clothes , and i dont use it ;) )

they said muslim cant eat with the non muslims ??????? unlogic
because many parts in the quran said that the food , not only sharing it with non muslims , the food that have been made by a non muslim , it is ok to eat from it , and to give the non muslim , a muslim made food

they said the muslims should kill the non muslims
untrue
that in also many parts of the quran , it is written that you shouldnt force any body non muslim to follow you , and if any other non muslim group didnt attack you , so you should act as friends

i am saying that because i am afraid that the non muslims on TIG , could belive what they say

and if any body want to know any thing about islam , please ask any muslim friend , and if he didnt know , he will tell you the right way to know , to have the true information

and i hope that the people can understand each other , and the language is a great barrier for that
really i had to learn the others languages to understand culture .

my self , i learned hebrew , inorder to understand the israelian TV , and to know what are they sayng about us
i can understand what the western media say , because i can understand what they are saying

so please , if you are non muslim , non arabic speaking
if you want to understand this culture , try to learn

or if you dont have time , just to listen to those people are saying , and search for the information from their real source

about my list , i have updated it , and if any body want to add another one
please send me , and i will check ;)

my list ( Haythem`s List ;) )

thanks , and i hope for those members , to speak about any other topic
and really ,the TIG was toooooo calm and wonderfull site before , full of cooperation and understanding
i hope to be like this again with out any hard fealings

i think religion is , the way that God gives to humanity to have a happy , good , peacfull life
there is many ways for this , and thats why there is many religions , and the man is free to follow the one that he likes , and understand , and fullfill his needs and hopes in the life

and it is very bad , that we find any kind of religion have this number of posts in this bad way

so please no more , and we need to have a peacfull site full of understanding and cooperation

and thanks for many members , and especially for the non muslim TIG members that replied to those group post , in a very smart and fair way , really i respect it .

and i hope , to have a day on TIG , without any discriminating stuff to any king of religion

for more understanding , not missunderstanding , more tolerence , not violence ,more cooperation not conflict , more friends , not enemy
for more love , not hate

i hope you agree with me

thanks for reading

STOCK MARKET 2

COMMON SENSE INVESTING
todays financial news is replete with alternation- getting headlines of kind - big swings in stock prices , program trading, large corporate mergers ,
to those who do not follow the day today heppenings in the market , it appears confusing and intimidating , it sounds complicated , so , many would be investors become discourged .
ACTUALLY , for most , investing in the stock market can be a simple process , it can e educateional chalenging , and with a little patience , very rewarding

it would be wrong to say that successful investing is only a matter of common sense , it also involves some effort but many rewarding invesments have been identified by applying vcocommon sense it alsense to personal knowledgw and experiences and using each obsercation as a starting point

WHY DO PEOPLE BUY STOCKS?
where should that extra money go?
into the bank? bonds ? real estate ? art ? oir will the stock market provide the best possible return ?
while each individual has adifferent investement objective
stocks are brought for one ot many reason :
TO MAKE MONEY!!
an individual can participate in the stock market in three ways:

INVESTING

this is generally the most successful aproach because time can be used to an advantage
an investor buys shares to be a part owner of the company
and to obtain at least an adequate return on the investemnt

SPECULATING

the speculators is willing to assume great risk for a potenially great reward , being a part owner is not important to the speculator , since the time horison is to be no longer than necessary

TRADING

a trader attempts to take advantagee od small price , changes, and is less interested in value
stock certificates are merely pieces of paper to be bought or sold for a profit within a short perion of time - some times days or hours

whether investing , speculationg , or trading ,
a stock holder makes money by receiving cash dividends ( ussually paid quarterly )
from the company and/ ir by obtaining capital appreciation if the stock is sold at a higher price than the original
price of purchase
each day the stockholder can calculate the theoritical profit or loss on a piece of paper ( paper prfit , paper ;loss)
but the profit or loss is not as they say , realized untill the stock is actually sold

STOCK MARKET

THERE IS A PENNY THAT MOVES
WHENEVER IT MOVES FAST , AND GO AROUND AND AROUND
YOU WILL GET YOUR BENIFET

WHAT IS THE STOCK MARKET
it is the place , that combines the buyer and the seller of equity

that is the simple meaning of the stock market
but the hide meaning , it is the place that youhave the chance to change the world in

THE STOCKS AND PRICE
over a period of days , weeks or months , the proce of a stock can fluctuate widely , depending upon the direction of the overall stock market or news items affecting the company or its industry
some times a stock will rise or fall for no apparent reason
any number of circumstances or events can influence the conference level of incestors and the supply / demand balance and equillebrium
of buyers and sellers . however , over an extended time period
a few years od longer - the stock proce will most likely rise or fall in line with the company`s earnings . dividends , and financial codition

WHAT IS THE STOCK
the stock is a part of the property of the owner ship of the capital
this capital is divided on the number of stocks , to know the price of each share in the capital

WHAT DO I BENIFET FROM HAVING A STOCK
i will own a part of the entity , i can benifet from its profit , and increase my wealth

DO I NEED ANY STUDIES BEFORE I INVEST IN THE MARKET
yes of course , you need to study the stock market it self , how do it works , whom are the players in the markets
what is the forces affecting in the market
what is the fields and industries that have stocks to be dealed among the public ,
what is the law of investing in the country
what is the regulation to be registered and trade on stocks
what is the other means of investing in this country
what is the investment policy in the country
what is the commpetition in other markets , in investing
what is the interest rate in the country
what if you invest your money in other country
what is the risk that you will have in dealing in stocks
what is the number of deals per day , and the amount of stocks traded per day
what is the declaration that you have in the market

Doctor who pushed health on to global political agenda
By Frances Williams
Published: July 18 2003 5:00 | Last Updated: July 18 2003 5:00

Gro Harlem Brundtland took the helm of the World Health Organisation in 1998, when the United Nations agency - then celebrating its 50th anniversary - was at a low ebb and struggling to meet emerging health challenges very different from those at its inception.

The WHO built its reputation on tackling the infectious diseases that were the biggest killers in the developing world, winning admiration for its child vaccination programmes and successful eradication of smallpox.

But it failed the test when Aids, the biggest killer of all, emerged in the 1980s, prompting the creation in 1995 of a separate agency, Unaids. And as the so-called "diseases of affluence" such as cancer, heart disease and diabetes spread to poorer countries, where they now account for a majority of deaths, WHO's approach looked piecemeal.

Dr Brundtland, a medical doctor who was three times prime minister of Norway, set out to change that, and even her critics acknowledge she has achieved big successes in her single five-year term that ends this weekend.

Her two overarching goals were to move health up the global political agenda - to the level of presidents, prime ministers and (importantly) finance ministers - and to restore and strengthen WHO's authority to advise on health matters through "evidence-based" policies.

She can claim to have succeeded on both counts. Health - and its impact on development - has been on the agenda of each summit of the Group of Eight industrialised countries since her arrival at the WHO. Media interest in health matters has burgeoned.

Most of all, she has managed to mobilise new advocates for health - including Kofi Annan, the UN secretary-general, who made creation of the Global Fund on Aids, tuberculosis and malaria a personal campaign - and vastly increased resources for health.

The WHO budget has been boosted by two-thirds to around $1bn (€890m, £625m) a year. Further billions - from donor governments, charities such as the Gates Foundation and private industry - have been channelled through the global fund, and through dozens of public-private partnerships that she has encouraged despite concerns by some over the coziness of the relationship with industry.

"The respect and credibility of the WHO as an international institution has increased greatly," says Dr Brundtland, who believes that without this the organisation could not have played the vital role it did in the Sars outbreak this year.

Though Dr Brundtland took a low profile during the Sars crisis, her involvement was decisive, from the issuing of an unprecedented WHO global health alert in March to the controversial travel warnings and her admonitions to the Chinese government over its bungled handling of the outbreak originating in Guangdong.

Dr Brundtland also came to the WHO promising to act on tobacco and malaria, which for her epitomised the challenges of non-communicable and infectious diseases respectively.

Her "tobacco-free" initiative, derided by many at the start as a waste of public money and effort, has succeeded beyond expectations. She started the WHO campaign against tobacco from scratch but just a year later, confronted with incontrovertible evidence showing the catastrophic consequences for the developing world of rising tobacco consumption, member governments gave the go-ahead for negotiations on a tobacco control treaty, WHO's first-ever public health pact.

Although that treaty, adopted by the WHO's 192 members at this year's world health assembly, is not seen as a likely model for other health problems, the fight against tobacco has given the WHO new confidence to take a more activist approach to non-communicable diseases and their causes, such as poor diet, than in pre-Brundtland days.

Still, for many poor countries, infectious diseases remain a paramount concern. Dr Brundtland says she chose malaria as a priority because it was largely neglected, incidence was rising, especially in Africa, and it was having a devastating effect not only on people's lives but on economic development.

Yet despite the Roll Back Malaria partnership, the disease continues on a rising trend. Dr Brundtland says many lives have been saved through expanded coverage of insecticide-treated bed nets, and more is being spent on research into malaria drugs and vaccines. But, as with Aids and tuberculosis, which Dr Brundtland puts in the same category, the problem is seen as one of resources.

"We know what works and what needs to be done," she says. "But the ambition of scaling up by five or 10 times the attention to Aids, tuberculosis and malaria illustrates that there are still big gaps."

However, she adds: "It's not a failure of the WHO if the resources are not forthcoming. It's a failure of all of us."

By Alan Beattie in Washington and Christopher Swann in London
Published: July 16 2003 20:22 | Last Updated: July 16 2003 20:22

Alan Greenspan, chairman of the US Federal Reserve, on Wednesday warned that the Chinese authorities could not continue to peg their currency without endangering their domestic economy.

The comments, in front of a congressional committee, add to a chorus of concern among policymakers about China's insistence on fixing the renminbi against the dollar. Mr Greenspan suggested that the renminbi would have to be allowed to float, saying the current campaign of intervention to support it was unsustainable.

"It has required them to. . . be very heavy purchasers of US dollar-denominated assets," Mr Greenspan said. "At some point they will no longer be able to do that, because it will create an inability of their monetary system to function well."

Asked directly if the authorities should let the renminbi float, Mr Greenspan said: "I think that from an economic point of view, it's going to be increasingly evident that that is what is going to have to happen if the existing cost structures around the world remain as they are. And I think the Chinese are sufficiently sophisticated to understand that."

Inflows of "hot money" into China have recently forced the central bank to buy an average of $600m (£422m) a day to keep the currency steady against the dollar. This pushed China's foreign exchange reserves above $340bn by the end of June from $316bn at the end of March. The surge is viewed by many as evidence of the undervaluation of the currency.

Mr Greenspan noted that John Snow, the US Treasury secretary, had already advised the Chinese authorities that they should float their currency.

The Fed chairman's words are part of an increased willingness among American policymakers publicly to discuss floating the renminbi. Though they have generally avoided directly pressing China on the issue - believing that it might be counter-productive - US officials have praised moves towards greater flexibility in the Chinese exchange rate.

Mr Greenspan on Wednesday questioned whether public pressure on the Chinese would actually help move their private discussion along.

The US administration is also under pressure from the US business lobby, particularly manufacturing, which says that Asian currency manipulation is costing American jobs. China's trade surplus with the US grew from $28.2bn in 2001 to $43.3bn in 2002.

Commenting on the US economy, Mr Greenspan sought to correct a false impression that he had completely ruled out the use of unusual measures such as buying Treasury bonds outright to combat deflation. Bond yields rose sharply on Tuesday after Mr Greenspan said that such measures were most unlikely to be needed.

The Fed chairman said it was not clear whether resurrecting the 30-year Treasury bond, which was discontinued in 2001, was a good idea even in view of the mounting deficits faced by the US.
By John Authers in Mexico City
Published: July 17 2003 18:41 | Last Updated: July 17 2003 18:41

Mexico's politicians are attempting to stitch together a fiscal reform package that could include the drastic reduction of loopholes in corporate tax and the introduction of VAT at a low rate on medicine and basic foodstuffs.

The reform package will be a test of Mexico's ability to stimulate its economy and of the resolve of the Institutional Revolutionary party (PRI) to act constructively with a president from another party.

In 2001, his first full year in office, President Vicente Fox made fiscal reform his priority. The centrepiece of his proposal was to raise value-added tax on medicine and basic foodstuffs from 0 to 15 per cent. That s would have sharply increased Mexico's tax base, which - at 12 per cent of gross domestic product - is one of the lowest in Latin America. But the plan collapsed in Congress, largely because of PRI opposition.

Mexico's newly elected Congress, in which the PRI almost has a majority, will address fiscal reform when it reconvenes in September. The aim is to agree a package at the same time as the 2004 budget, which must be agreed by the end of December.

A key element is thought to be VAT on food and medicine but at a lower rate than previously proposed - probably 5 or 6 per cent. The treasury's view is thought to be that fiscal reform without increases in indirect taxation is unlikely to be effective.

One proposal is to couple this with a reduction in VAT rates on other products, although at present the idea's sponsors believe that this can be avoided.

The key additional element, compared with the attempt at reform in 2001, would be to raise tax on corporations, probably through elimination of loopholes. That would make fiscal reform much easier to sell to the public, as the last reform package was perceived to be unfair to the poor.

Several senior businessmen have raised concerns in recent weeks that the government is not spending sufficiently to stimulate the economy, which has suffered in the wake of the US slowdown.

Nicholas Stern, the chief economist of the World Bank, said this week during a visit to Mexico City that the country needed to invest in infrastructure, education and training if it was to remain competitive with countries such as China. "That needs revenue, and that means fiscal reform," said Mr Stern. "Mexico has a very low tax take for a middle-income country."

Mr Fox has said that fiscal reform is a priority, as has Roberto Madrazo, the leader of the PRI.

White House releases top secret WMD papers
By Edward Alden in Washington
Published: July 19 2003 0:27 | Last Updated: July 19 2003 0:27

The White House on Friday released portions of a top secret intelligence assessment prepared before the war in Iraq, arguing it presented "a clear, compelling case" that Iraq was trying to reconstitute its nuclear weapons programme.

The unorthodox decision to publish excerpts of the classified October 2002 National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) was the latest effort by the White House to end the controversy over whether President George W. Bush manipulated intelligence evidence to build support for the war.

The document, while revealing sharp disagreements within the intelligence community, says: "In the view of most agencies, Baghdad is reconstituting its nuclear programme." It warns that, left unchecked, Saddam Hussein would probably have built a nuclear weapon no later than 2009.

A senior White House official said on Friday the NIE was the basis for Mr Bush's claim that Iraq was trying to acquire uranium from Africa, which the US now admits it cannot stand up.

The administration is facing pointed questions over how the claim, which was credited to British intelligence, appeared in Mr Bush's January State of the Union speech.

George Tenet, director of central intelligence, has accepted blame for not removing the reference from the speech, but Democrats are pointing fingers directly at the White House.

The White House on Friday revealed that an earlier draft of the speech had made an even stronger claim, saying: "We also know that [Mr Hussein] has recently sought to buy uranium in Africa and has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminium tubes suitable for nuclear production."

The official said White House speechwriters instead decided to attribute that claim and others in the speech to specific public sources, in order to increase their credibility. The UK dossier on Iraq, published last September, had cited the African link, and the White House chose that as the source. The CIA, he said, approved the change a day before Mr Bush's speech.

The NIE report confirmed that the White House relied on conclusions that were disputed within the US intelligence community.

The State Department's intelligence arm dismissed the Africa link as "highly dubious", and both the State and Energy departments said the aluminium tubes were "poorly suited for use in gas centrifuges to be used for uranium enrichment".

Despite those doubts, Mr Bush again this week insisted that Mr Hussein "was trying to reconstitute his nuclear weapons programme".

The official said the US still stood behind the claim that the aluminium tubes could have been used in a nuclear programme. The NIE also said Iraq was trying to acquire "magnets, high speed balancing machines and machine tools" for its uranium enrichment effort and had tried to revive "several suspect nuclear sites".

Blair seeks to contain spiralling weapons crisis
By David Ibison in Tokyo
Published: July 19 2003 10:37 | Last Updated: July 19 2003 10:37

Tony Blair, the British prime minister, made his first public appearance since the discovery on Friday of the body of David Kelly, a defence ministry biologist, and immediately sought to contain the biggest political crisis of his administration.

"I hope we can set aside the speculation and the claims and counter claims," Mr Blair said in Tokyo. "All of us should show some respect and restraint." Mr Kelly was named as the source of a story alleging the government manipulated evidence to justify war.

Mr Blair's calls for restraint are unlikely to quell speculation surrounding the affair, which has added a macabre twist to the debate about the quality of the evidence cited by Mr Blair and George W. Bush, the US president, about Iraq's weapons of mass destuction.

The degree of concern over the issue was apparent on the flight to Tokyo when officials huddled at the front of the plane before hurriedly briefing journalists and Mr Blair appeared drawn and distracted during a speech to Tokyo business leaders.

The UK prime minister will hold a joint press conference with Junichiro Koizumi, Japan's prime minister, later Saturday evening Tokyo time from the resort area of Hakone - the first time he will face direct questions on Mr Kelly's death.

He has already announced a judicial inquiry into the death and is likely to tell reporters to use caution in reaching any conclusions before the enquiry has been completed in a further attempt to lessen the impact of the scandal.

Mr Kelly was named as the source of a BBC story alleging the UK government "sexed up" the evidence to make the case for going to war more compelling. Alastair Campbell, the government's top communiciations official, has vigorously denied this allegation.

Before the latest crisis broke, the prime minister was already under pressure for claims that Iraq was seeking to acquire nuclear material from Niger that were used in the US president's State of the Union address and which were attributed to the UK.

Some of these claims have been shown to be false, leaving the UK insisting its had separate intelligence proving the allegations but refusing to reveal any details.

The road to extradition

Although Egypt doesn't have an extradition treaty with Uruguay, the South American country has turned over an alleged Islamist militant to Egyptian authorities following four years of legal wrangling. Jailan Halawi reports
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Uruguay has deported a suspected Egyptian Islamist militant, El-Said Hassan Mukhlis, to his home country four years after Cairo requested his extradition. Mukhlis's return to Egypt on 10 July follows a saga that began 29 January 1999 when he attempted to enter Uruguay from Brazil using a forged Malaysian passport. Mukhlis is wanted in Egypt for his alleged involvement in various terrorist activities and membership in the outlawed Al- Gama'a Al-Islamiya.

Egyptian officials say Mukhlis trained at an Al-Qa'eda camp in Afghanistan, while the Uruguayan press reported that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) suspects him of having links with Saudi dissident Osama Bin Laden.

Some media reports have speculated that Mukhlis's training stint in Afghanistan was in preparation for the 1997 Luxor massacre in which 58 tourists and four Egyptians were killed.

Islamist lawyer Montasser El- Zayyat told Al-Ahram Weekly that his client has never been involved in any violent attacks and that he was deported for questioning in relation to two other matters. The first concerns a 1994 charge against Mukhlis for attempting to revive the activities of the illegal Al- Gama'a Al-Islamiya in his home town of Port Said. The second relates to Mukhlis's alleged presence at a training camp in Afghanistan.

Before his arrest Mukhlis resided for an unknown period with his wife and children in the Brazilian town of Chuy, located near the border with Uruguay, where he made a living selling electrical appliances.

Uruguayan immigration authorities arrested him along with his family and a man accompanying them when they tried to enter the country, although all save Mukhlis were immediately released. A Montevideo court ordered Mukhlis remanded into custody for 45 days pending investigation because of information the Uruguayan police received from the CIA that three Egyptians carrying forged passports would attempt to cross the border between Brazil and Uruguay and that they were suspected of belonging to an illegal group.

Shortly after Mukhlis was detained, the Interpol office in Egypt asked Uruguay to arrest and deport him.

Egypt, which does not have an extradition treaty with Uruguay, followed suit shortly, submitting a request for Mukhlis's extradition on 12 March 1999, describing him as "a member of the illegal Al- Gama'a Al-Islamiya that acts to destabilise the democratic regime by terrorist methods, including the possession of firearms and explosives and plotting assassinations".

In response, the Uruguayan court made numerous requests from the Egyptian authorities to support their bid. It asked for the text of the Egyptian law authorising the prosecutor-general to order an arrest, since in Uruguay that is the prerogative of the court. It asked whether Mukhlis had ever been tried or sentenced by an Egyptian court, as well as for the details of the charges against him and the penalties they carried in the event of a conviction.

The Uruguayan court subsequently requested evidence of the allegations against Mukhlis and for assurances that he would be handed over to civilian authorities -- not a military court whose ruling cannot be appealed. In a similar regard, it requested guarantees that Mukhlis would not face either the death penalty or life imprisonment if found guilty.

The case made its way through Uruguayan courts over a four-year period as Mukhlis's lawyers appealed each decision in favour of the extradition. The game was over, however, on 6 May when the Uruguayan Supreme Court approved Egypt's request. Another two months elapsed before Uruguay sent Mukhlis on his way after receiving a document from Egypt affirming that it agreed to the conditions of the deportation.

Uruguay is only one of many countries that have made it more difficult for Islamist militants to use its land as a safe haven since 9/11. Countries like Canada, Bosnia and Sweden have all recently moved to extradite Egyptian Islamist militants to Egypt, and even Britain, long criticised by Egypt as a safe haven for Islamist militants, has taken steps to change its asylum laws.
Will the opening of a new garage in Tahrir Square help solve downtown Cairo's chronic parking problems? Reem Nafie tries to find out
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With several ministries, the Arab League headquarters, the Egyptian Museum, the American University in Cairo (AUC), the Mogamma', a number of 5-star hotels and the popular Omar Makram mosque all located in Tahrir Square, parking around Cairo's main central square has always been a problem.

In an attempt to resolve the issue, two underground parking garages have been in the works for a while now. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Atef Ebeid last week, Tahrir Garage Two is the first of the two structures to be completed. Built under a 4000 square metre garden featuring a statue of 19th century luminary Omar Makram, the new garage is smaller than Tahrir Garage One, the more ambitious of the two projects, which is set to also feature four cinemas and a mall.

The immense Garage One -- which should be completed by the end of this year -- is located on the opposite end of the square, in front of the Egyptian Museum, and will have room for 2,700 cars and 60 buses.

The newly completed Garage Two's capacity, meanwhile, is only 640 cars.

Garage Two was built by the private sector Tahrir Investment Company for Garages using the BOT (Build- Operate-Transfer) system, which allows the company to rake in the garage's profits for the coming 25 years, before transferring it to Cairo governorate.

Arab Contractors handled the garage's construction, while Arab Contractors for Maintenance and Services (ACMS) are responsible for the garage's maintenance, cleanliness and services.

Although Cairo governorate officials are very enthusiastic about the project, promising that it will solve downtown's parking problems, others are not so sure.

"There is no way the parking problem in Tahrir will ever end," said 'Amm Mohamed, a car attendant who has been working in Tahrir Square for the past 20 years. "The governorate needs to build five garages before even thinking the problem will be solved. In the morning there are too many cars for just one or two garages to accommodate."

ACMS engineer Ahmed Lotfi, meanwhile, defended the project, arguing that it was only natural for car attendants to belittle the idea since it was certain to cut into their livelihood.

Although the garage is currently still in a test phase -- with no date set for its official start of operations -- observers think the real test will only be in the fall, when students head back to university. According to Mohamed Fahmy, owner of El-Gamaa' Garage, which is located close to AUC, "a 640-car capacity garage isn't enough" to meet the demand of thousands of AUC students, the vast majority of whom have cars.

"But still," Fahmy said, "I have to admit that if the garage's rates are cheap, a lot of our customers will abandon us -- not because our service is bad, but because people always like to try something new."

The owners of the much larger El-Bustan Garage are also worried about the competition, especially in light of the increasing complaints from their customers that El-Bustan's constant rate hikes have already reached LE1.65 per hour.

Although the new garage's manager refused to disclose Tahrir Garage Two's rates, informed sources said they would range between LE3 to LE3.5 per hour.

That was a shockingly high figure for Mohamed El-Arabi, an economic researcher at the nearby Ministry of Foreign Trade. "I park my car in Tahrir and walk two streets to work everyday because there is no place to park on Adly Street," he said. "I was very happy to discover the new garage, until I was told it would cost LE3 per hour, which is way too much. Who can afford to pay LE20 a day?"

Mogamma' employee Khalifa Saleh agreed. "Who is the government targeting with these kinds of fares?" he asked. "Who do they expect will pay that kind of money to park their car?"

Perhaps then, despite the relative advantages of Tahrir Garage One -- including the fact that it is air-conditioned -- the older garages shouldn't be too worried about their customers migrating after all.

EL AHRAM IS ONE OF THE GREATEST NEWSPAPERS IN EGYPT AND THE ARAB WORLD

2004 , new strange post on TIG , the discussion of all discussions

hey all
i love TakingITGlobal
and really i have been inspired by that site , and really TIG helped me soooooo much inmy activities

but lately i found a strange way of discussions , that always closed
and i found only one common thing between those discussions that have been closed

thay have some posts from TIG members , that i have on my list ( Haythem`s List ) ;)

i think that is the discussion of all discussions

since 12 jan 2004 , every day , many people whom hate the Islamic religion
joined TIG
and they do nothing , and only nothing but posting replies to any kind of discussion in a very bad and discriminating way to any muslim person in all overthe world

and they have the same way
( quote - argument - fake hadith - fake translation from Quran - quote - saying bad words related to other TIG members - write a link to a website , that made specially to attack Islam or to broadcast false information about the religion )

thats all they did
they didnt post any thing else
they didnt join any kind of organizations , or any kind of activities , events , interests , or any thing
just this way of posts , and thats all
as if they are taking money for making that .

they are very discrimintative group , and all the TIG members dislike their way

really they use wrong and false translation to the quran , and they post false hadith ( speaches of the prophit muhamed )
and also they give the others all the links ( as a source ) and this link is a site have been made by another group ( may be the same ) that hate islam and make false information about the religion in that kind of sites

for example , i can make a site and make a great difinition in it , as a source
and this site speaks about my self as the creator of the universe
i can say that , and this could be post to the discussion as a link to a source on the internet

and that dosnt mean it is TRUE

i dont like their post , but i made a test

i read many of their replies , and compare the quran parts with the real parts on the quran written in arabic ( in hand )
i found they used a strange way of translation , as they make any body review it and dont understand arabic , that it is true , but really it isent

and

i read the ahadith they said , i found it is tooooootaly faake , and nothing in reality as they said

and also they said strange amd unlogic things

for example
they said true muslims cant wear jeans ???????? who is the dumb that can accept that
( by the way , i have a few non jeans clothes , and i dont use it ;) )

they said muslim cant eat with the non muslims ??????? unlogic
because many parts in the quran said that the food , not only sharing it with non muslims , the food that have been made by a non muslim , it is ok to eat from it , and to give the non muslim , a muslim made food

they said the muslims should kill the non muslims
untrue
that in also many parts of the quran , it is written that you shouldnt force any body non muslim to follow you , and if any other non muslim group didnt attack you , so you should act as friends

i am saying that because i am afraid that the non muslims on TIG , could belive what they say

and if any body want to know any thing about islam , please ask any muslim friend , and if he didnt know , he will tell you the right way to know , to have the true information

and i hope that the people can understand each other , and the language is a great barrier for that
really i had to learn the others languages to understand culture .

my self , i learned hebrew , inorder to understand the israelian TV , and to know what are they sayng about us
i can understand what the western media say , because i can understand what they are saying

so please , if you are non muslim , non arabic speaking
if you want to understand this culture , try to learn

or if you dont have time , just to listen to those people are saying , and search for the information from their real source

about my list , i have updated it , and if any body want to add another one
please send me , and i will check ;)

my list ( Haythem`s List ;) )

thanks , and i hope for those members , to speak about any other topic
and really ,the TIG was toooooo calm and wonderfull site before , full of cooperation and understanding
i hope to be like this again with out any hard fealings

i think religion is , the way that God gives to humanity to have a happy , good , peacfull life
there is many ways for this , and thats why there is many religions , and the man is free to follow the one that he likes , and understand , and fullfill his needs and hopes in the life

and it is very bad , that we find any kind of religion have this number of posts in this bad way

so please no more , and we need to have a peacfull site full of understanding and cooperation

thanks for reading
and thanks for many members , and especially for the non muslim TIG members that replied to those group post , in a very smart and fair way , really i respect it .

and i hope , to have a day on TIG , without any discriminating stuff to any kind of any kind of religion or group
this site is made for more tolerence , not violence , for more understanding , not misunderstanding , for more cooperation , not discrimination

i hope you all agree with me
